My name is Carolyn Stanworth, President and CEO of BL Companies - a 100% ESOP Company. We are an Architecture and Engineering professional services firm (which is not why I am emailing you).
Our Company flies Southwest whenever possible. Not only do we want to support other ESOPs, your employees are beyond reproach in the industry for service - kudos to you and your culture.
With all of that being said, we have been watching the Puerto Rico situation. I was wondering if you would be willing to partner with other businesses (who would donate money) to fly those needing to exit to the USA to join family members.
Maybe I am being naïve. We are a small firm yet would be willing to see if we could get other businesses through whatever means (e.g., go fund me, relationships, etc.) to donate money for others fare.
It is hard to watch and do nothing. I am not even sure you fly to Puerto Rico. If not, any suggestions on how we all could help?
