Mr. Thomas J. May, also known as Tom, has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Eversource Energy (formerly, Northeast Utilities) since April 10, 2012. Mr. May serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President NSTAR Electric Gas Corporation and NSTAR Communications, Inc. He serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of BEC Funding II, L.L.C., and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Inc. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of NSTAR Electric Company until April 10, 2012. He also served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Electric Light Company. He served as Chief Executive Officer of NSTAR LLC since 1999 and President since 2002. Mr. May served as Chief Executive Officer of BEC Energy, an energy utility holding company and its principal operating subsidiaries from 1998 to 1999. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Boston Edison Company, a regulated public utility company, from 1994 to 1999 and President from 1995 to 1999. He served as President of Boston Edison Company from 1995 to 1999. He has been the Chairman of NSTAR Electric Company and Western Massachusetts Electric Company since April 10, 2012. He has been Chairman of Eversource Energy since October 10, 2013. He has been the Chairman of The Connecticut Light and Power Company since April 10, 2012. Following its 2012 merger with Boston-based NSTAR, NU has more than 4,270 circuit miles of electric transmission lines, 72,000 pole miles of distribution lines, and 6,459 miles of natural gas pipeline in New England.[6]

On February 2, 2015, Northeast Utilities and all its subsidiaries rebranded themselves as "Eversource Energy".[7] The stock symbol changed on February 19, 2015 from "NU" to "ES".[8]
