Dear Mr. Jelinek,Seven months ago I reached out to you about my son, Joseph – W Craig Jelinek email address

Gregory sent a message to W. Craig Jelinek ,President and Chief Executive Officer ,Costco Wholesale Corporation email address that said:

Dear Mr. Jelinek,

Seven months ago I reached out to you about my son, Joseph Winger, a physically challenged young man having a desire to work at Costco. Upon graduation from college, a daunting challenge that he ultimately accomplished successfully, he said he was now "qualified to get a job" and "Costco was the place".

Often times when someone does good by someone else, it goes unrecognized or unappreciated. You sir, made a simple dream come true, for a wonderful young man.

When you forwarded my email to the Avon, Ohio Costco, attention to the Manager, stating "address this", they ended up hiring Joseph part-time and unexpectedly found someone with a great work ethic and someone they truly like in the process.

He knows eventually he will find a full-time position within the organization, and already talks about this being his "new goal". He is very excited to be part of the "Costco family culture".

As the father of a child that has faced unimaginable difficulties, I can not be more grateful to you for giving him a chance to prove himself.

In appreciation for your unexpected kindness, my wife and I would like to make a donation to the Make A Wish Foundation in your name. Thank you again so very much for your kindness.

Sincerely,

Gregory
