I am writing you to let you know of my bad experience buying a 2011 ford fiesta at sheehy ford warrenton, virginia brand new off the lot. The vehicle came with a 36000 mile warranty. At 37000 miles my ac compressor went bad and had to pay $1700.00 out of pocket to repair. At 100,000 mile I was going to change the spark plugs and discovered antifreeze surrounding spark plugs.
I took vehicle to closest dealership in Louisa, Virginia and they told me they thought it was what we used to call a freeze plug leaking. I had that repaired for $450.00 out of pocket. I kept my eye on the spark plugs the following week and noticed it was doing the same thing. I took vehicle back to same dealership in Louisa and they told me the next step would be to replace top half of motor for $5000.00 out of pocket.
I was all ready backwards when I traded my previous vehicle in for fiesta. I wanted the fiesta to get better gas mileage as I drive 68 miles one way to work everyday. Needless to say I could not afford the $5000.00 repair that had no guarantee it would fix the problem. I spoke to someone who has purchased numerous vehicles in his lifetime and he told me that you cannot replace the top half of a motor that has 100,000 miles on it and not replace the bottom half.
He bought a vehicle that had that done and it was shooting oil out of the dipstick cause of pressure of a new top half combined with the lower pressure of old bottom half. I am very disappointed with Ford right now because I had to trade this car in on a much more expensive car 2014 Toyota Camry cause I was all ready backwards. I've been meaning to contact you for years but I always thought it would do no good. Now I have this high car payment that I really can't afford all because one day I decided to buy a Ford. Every time I make a car payment I get so pissed off because essentially I am still paying for that fiesta.
Sincerely.
Joseph
