Andrew sent a message to James E. Meyer CEO, Sirius XM Radio Inc. that said:
How you chased away a 14 year customer.
I've had XM Radio since the beginning. Last year your company cancelled The Escape Channel to add some rap channels. There was no room at XM for beautiful instrumental music performed my master musicians. You gutted the classical music and easy listening was next on the list. After protesting I began searching for an alternative source. I found many FREE alternatives and was just about to cancel XM when you brought back Escape. It restored my faith. I hope you fired the moron OK'd the Escape cancellation and if it was you then you don't know crap about good music or your customers.
Then I upgraded to the full car streaming package only to discover that every 90 minutes I have to press a button on my computer to keep the music streaming and no way to disable it. I'm not going to pay $250 per year to press a button every 90 minutes so XM can save some royalty pennies. How long do you think a cable company would last if you had to get out of bed every 90 minutes to press a button so you could keep watching a movie on TV? That crap about preserving bandwidth is an excuse worthy of Hillary Clinton.
I understand that the subscriptions cancelled due to your Escape fiasco were in the 10's of thousands and it sent me looking for a way to replace you. Now the 90 minute dead man switch has proven that you guys suck so I am now a Pandora subscriber and can disable their "are you listening" button with a simple Chrome extension. XM was one great and now its just a corporate fvckover run by bean counters who wouldn't know good music if it landed on their head.
PS - Talking to your customer service is like trying to communicate with a bucket of oyster shells.
