Madrina sent a message to Michael F. Neidorff Chief Executive Officer and President of Centene Corp. Email Address that said:
Hi, Mr. Neidorff,
I am a current member of "Ambetter Magnolia Healthcare Insurance" and I am extremely upset about the company's treatment of my medical condition. I've been taking Vyvanse 70 mg for over 10 years for my adult ADHD, and it works very well for me. I've tried alternatives, like adderall, and have had severe side effects, including migraine headaches, nausea, and increased anxiety and depression. Your company, and US Script require a PA for the medication. You've denied my prescription and want me to try a list of alternatives. I have done this in the past and had severe side effects. I am so displeased with your lack of communication, lack of respect and the complete disregard your company shows for my health. I spent $183 on the premium in January, and $25 co-pay for my visit to the doctor for the refill of my prescription. Now, you want me to return to the doctor (which is another claim for you to pay,) and try a list of alternatives? Do you not comprehend the audacity of this? I will have to make numerous trips to the doctor(more claims for you to pay), begin trying medications I've tried in the past, AND face the risk of side effects?
To top it all off, NO ONE from US Script OR Ambetter contacted me. I had to continually contact support to ask about my PA. Then, in a reply from your support system, I was told I may have my doctor file a PA AND send medical records? My doctor has already filed TWO PAs (one was apparently lost by US Script). Now, I have to miss work to incur another co-pay for a doctor appointment (you'll have a claim to pay) AND ask the doctor to submit another PA AND medical records?
Im filing complaints with the MS Attorney General's office, the Better Business Bureau AND I am going to gladly begin using social media to describe this situation and to explain how you are failing to provide a standard of care for my health.
Additionally, your customer service system is horrible. Information does not update, network providers are omitted from your listing and I even received an email response meant for another customer.
Apparently you're overpaid if your company fails to understand how your asinine behavior and refusal to provide a decent standard of care for my health. I wonder how many other members are treated this way?
Youre definitely overpaid, and this company is clearly in the money-making business with no regard for your members' health.
I'm appalled. United Healthcare was my previous insurance provider. They had no problem trusting that my doctor knew what was best in prescribing Vyvanse for over 10 years. On February 1, theyll be my insurance company again. You need to pay attention to how United conducts business and cares for its members.
You're certainly welcome to reply, although I suspect that like the rest of your company, you're not likely to be helpful or to show a modicum of interest in a members health.
Have a great day,
Madrina
