Linda sent a message to Thomas J. Folliard President and Chief Executive Officer of CarMax, Inc. Email Address that said:
To whom it concern,
My name is Linda and I purchased a vehicle with Carmax in July, 2015 which is a S4O, 2010 Volvo. I haven't had any major problems until recently. My message kept saying Maintenance due and then finally it said Maintenance overdue. We'll I stopped in on a Saturday and was told the repair department was closed on weekends and to call back on Monday to schedule an appointment. I kept feeling something under my feet while driving like a rumbling or as if something was underneath the car moving. We'll while driving home on Saturday night January 23rd from Greenville, Texas at approximately 10:15 pm the car just lost control. It was as if someone else was driving. The car excellerated and when I tried to use my breaks the car would not stop. After several minutes the car stopped and a big ball of smoke appeared on the right side of the car and I could smell burnt rubber. I got out of the car to look and the tire was sticking out to the right and at the time I didnt know what I was looking at but the Axel was broken along with other things. There was no one else around which I'm grateful for because I probably would have hit them. I contacted my friends who were 5 minutes away. I was headed to their home to pick up my son. They came immediately to where I was sitting. I called AAA to have the car towed because it would not move. On Monday morning January 25th, I contacted Carmax, Plano location, and informed them that I needed to have my car towed so they could look at it. After the car arrived someone in the department by the name of James contacted me and said I probably needed to take it to a bookshop because it probably wouldnt be approved. He put a manager on who I think was Michael and he was negative as well. I told the I wanted it to stay and have the investigator to look at it. We'll, I was told on yesterday that my car was not approved to be fixed even though I have the extended Warranty because it appeared to have an impact which caused the damage the damage and my warranty doesn't cover impact. I'm wondering why do I have the warranty? It almost sounded as if I needed to hit someone before it would be covered which I am appalled. I am a single parent and I don't have the finances to take care of this. The car had defects and now I have to suffer as well as pay for a rental car to be able to get back and forth. I could have lost my life as well as injured others. I have no choice but to get an Attorney and talk with the News.
