ED sent a message to Jeffrey L. Bewkes Chairman and CEO, Time Warner Inc. that said:
I have been left with no choice but to reach out to you for help.
I have been working with Time Warner in San Diego for almost 8 months now. I have logged more than 10 hours of calls and have dealt with many mangers, supervisors and agents with no resolution.
In July of 2015 I switched my TV/Phone package from ATT to Time warner based on a guarantee from Time Warner that in exchange for the switch I will receive a $300 gift card. I asked for a contract and I was told the conversation was being recorded at the time and served as my proof of contract. Ever since there have been many excuses such as it shows up in a couple of weeks, to agent lied to you and many more in between.
I am entitled to this payment as guaranteed by a legally binding recording. I am also concerned that this is a systematic problem and is affecting thousands of other consumers.
I am simply asking for what is owed to me. I will persist with this process until it is resolved. My preferred path is to get this resolved through Time Warner and move on. It is not the $300 but the principal and legality of the matter that is directing my decision to peruse this to the just resolution.
Regards,
Ed
