Celeste sent a message to Akio Toyoda, President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation that said:
Hi,
My name is Celeste, and I know this may seem like a crazy request, but I would love to speak with you regarding trading in my 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS for a new one. It is about to hit the 300,000 mile mark. And yes, it still runs but it is beginning to give me a lot of trouble! It has gotten me through a lot of tough spots in my life, but has been very dependable over the last 16 years.
I would love to be a spokes person for Toyota and would be honored to even do a commercial in exchange for a newer car. I stepped out on faith and decided to go back to school to obtain my Master's Degree at 53, which I am 1 year in, and as well, I work full time. I am aware that my credit may not be the best right now so I can't afford, at this time, to put a down payment down on a new car based on my current salary.
I truly love my Toyota, and would love to be able to drive another Toyota for another 16 years, and would greatly appreciate any consideration to my unusual request. I have exhausted all options and would love to hear from you as soon as possible to see if Toyota would be willing to work with me in any way.
Again, I know this is a strange and unusual request (or maybe not) but I had to try! I thank you in advance for your consideration and look forward in hearing from you soon.
Respectfully,
Celeste
