Faith sent a message to Ronald D. Boire Chief Executive Officer of Barnes Noble, Inc. Email Address that said:
Dear Ron,
Clearly you are lying low and do not want to be contacted. Which means you know what a crappy job you are doing. If the feedback was good, you would want to hear it.
Why are you ruining Barnes Noble? Your online interface is archaic. Your Customer Service, while polite, are useless, because of the business model that you are executing.
Do you even READ books? Try picking a title, search it on your website and then attempt to find it in a Barnes Noble store close to your home. Try ordering a book, that is only slightly off the beaten track and then wait for over a month while your order keeps saying processing...so unable to cancel After that, you will probably do what most people do, give up on BN and head over to Amazon.
You do realize that repeat business is the way to success? Not going to do that when you can't give the consumer what they want. You are aware that consumers are somewhat important to your business? You may want to act like you know that.
Barnes Noble is not dying...you are killing it. Shame on you.
I should not be surprised that you came from Sears. You killed that too.
If you care about anything other than lining your pockets, it is time to show it.
You may be very good at layoffs, store closings, cutting the little people to pay you guys the big bucks. But are you any good at improving the business that you are running? Bad leaders ruin it for everyone...employees and consumers. Can you even be a good leader? Then do it.
