John sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation that said:
Dear Mr. Toyoda,
I live in California, in the USA. I'm 63 years old, and have been a loyal Toyota customer most of my life. Currently I own a Corolla and 2 Tacomas. There was a time when I would never consider purchasing any other vehicle. To me Toyota always stood for quality vehicles that were well made, last for years and always trouble free. Sadly this is no longer the case.
All three of my Toyota's have been the subject of repeated "recalls", especially the
Tacoma's. Toyota has dramatically declined in quality. I'm now in the process of replacing all three of my Toyota's. For the
first time in 36 years I will not purchase any
of your vehicles.
I'm not leaving Toyota, Toyota has left me!
Your product is not what it once was.
