Why does ADP insult job applicants?
Over the past five years, I have applied for more than 50 jobs with ADP ranging from basic mail room and secretarial all the way through the viable possibilities up to Director of Learning and Development. In each case, I have received a summary rejection within a day regardless of the fact that I have more than 20 years’ experience in Information Technology AND a Master’s Degree in Education (focus on Learning and Technology).
There are only two reasons for this:
1. The parsing software used does not recognize that a Master’s Degree supersedes any lesser degree.
2. Something in my own record sends up a “red flag” that prevents me from being considered. Perhaps that I am a white male? Or that I am over age 40?
All you have to do to confirm this is to not respond. Likewise, a response that contains empty platitudes and assurances will also confirm that ADP has something to hide.
