Hello,
I just wanted to let you know the security at Excalibur doesnt even have a written handgun policy, or any policy on firearms for that matter. The said I must turn in my firearm before going to my hotel room; but they also said there is no written policy for them to follow either. Ernie on the security at the Excalibur was very ignorant and rude and had no idea what he was doing. He even made me unload and load my handgun on the casino floor, which is a safety issue. I have some conversations with me and security recorded if you need proof of what they said; there stories never matched up on their so called verbal policy and I have all that recorded on one call getting sent back and forth on the phone. Helen on the security at the Excalibur is in my opinion one of the most polite and helpful people at the Excalibur so far. She had the idea of leaving the gun holstered and putting it in the safe that way. There was no room for a error as guns nowadays have firing pin blocks to keep the gun from going off if it is dropped etc.. The trigger cannot be pulled, Nor the safety released while in the holster. I carried my handgun 4 months previous in Las Vegas and at the Excalibur with no problems, and I had no idea of any policy as there is not one written ANYWHERE; the security also could not produce one when requested in person. I carry my concealed handgun due to crime and mainly due to terrorism. I hold a CCW license which is valid in the state of Nevada and many other states. Do Please think about your policies as there are no signs or metal detectors prohibiting firearms in your hotels or casinos as Nevada law states must be present or it is legal to carry a firearm throughout that building. A criminal or terrorist will not follow any law or policy if they wish to hurt people or commit crimes.
Thank you,
J.S.
