Hello. I just received a letter from Charter discussing what can be expected from the recent merger. I'm hopeful that things will be much better for the consumers. I'm a long-time DirecTV customer but I've tried to use Bright House a few times (and I'm currently using them for cable, internet, and phone in Birmingham, AL). My largest frustration in the past (and currently), particularly coming from DirecTV is that Bright House does a poor job of organizing their channels into a logical grouping, plus the channels are scattered. For example, I have ESPN on channels 20 and 21, also on channels 401-408, and then the HD stations are 1401-1408. To me, it makes sense to have all of the DIY, kids-related stations, Lifetime, sports, etc in their respective groups. It would be great that if the consumer has a cable box, we learn 1 set of channels. If it's an HD box and Im looking for USA, I should be able to look at channel 139 and it should be in HD and there shouldn't be an HD counterpart at 1139. That should be the case for all channels. If you offer 150 unique channels, then that's what I should expect, not 300-400 channels where many are some type of duplication. Hope this makes sense.
