Dear Mr Hemsley
I am having differculty with resolving an issue I have with your oxford subsidiary> The policy I had with oxford had a provision to be covered outside of the oxford region by uhc choiceplus network. The physician that I saw had been paid prevIously by the plan. On sept 18 2015 the physicians office was under the impression that I was not covered. I called oxford they confirmed that I was covered, the physician was in plan and they previously paid the physician for services rendered. Oxford called up the physicians office to assure them that they were mistaken. Their bill was erjlected becuase the physicians officebilled with the wrong tax id. On severa loccaaisions I spoke to oxford customer service they assured me that the issue of tax id was taken care of and all I had to do is wait for the re-submissions to be completed. I ahd heard from the physicians office or oxford I assumed that it was resolved. I believe it was either late or april that I discovered that it was not resolved. I spoke to oxford customer service supervisor who toldthat the physicians refused to re-submit with the correct id because their billing sysetem could not handle it. Theonly choice was to appeal the rejection. I did that and it was rejeected because the doctor is not inplan. All along I have assured by oxford customer service that the doctor had a valid contract and was in plan and theonly issue is that the submitted tax id is not correct one and that I was covered. Can you have someone from your office contact me so I can resolve the issue. I until using this uhc option I had very good experience with yourorganization. This experience has been miserable. i find that the internal organization only communictae in a written form which in minority of cases is not good enough. They need communicate with each other verbally.
Sincerely
Kenneth
