Kai Johan Jiang is a Swedish businessman and company operator with business interests in Sweden and China. In 2004, Jiang founded State Power (Dragon Power Company),[2] a Chinese energy company active in the sustainable energy sources, mainly biomass. He is the CEO of State Power Group.[3]
Jiang is CEO of National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS),[4] formed in 2012 with the intention to acquire the main assets of Saab Automobile AB from the bankruptcy estate. The acquisition was finalized on August 31, 2012.[5] NEVS is wholly owned by National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., parent company of State Power Group.
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB, abbreviated as Nevs, is a Swedish holding company, which has acquired the assets of Saab Automobile AB, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB, and Saab Automobile Tools AB from a bankruptcy estate. Nevs is majority owned by British Virgin Islands-registered, Hong Kong-based, National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., an energy company with operations in China, Macau, and Hong Kong.
In May 2012, Nevs announced that it had submitted a bid for Saab Automobile's bankruptcy estate, and planned to run an electric vehicle business at the Saab factory in Trollhättan, Sweden.[3] On September 3, 2012, it was announced that National Electric Vehicle Sweden had finalized its purchase of Saab Automobile's bankruptcy estate.[4]
