Dear Mr. Boardman,
I feel as though we were truly done wrong by your company. We went to the train station in Tampa, Fl and bought our tickets. We told the clerk we were gping to Albany Ny. He repeated this back to us twice. This was going to be a 26 hr trip, so we thought. Our train was stuck in Savannah Ga for three houEs while getting on another route. We were not allowed to get off and stretch our legs because we could take off at anytime. When we and other passengers tried to ask questions no one could answer. We we heard over the speaker that the last stop was New York/Penn we thought it was our stop. My daughter aasked what time we would be getting into Albany and were told this train was nit going to Albany. We had to call the 800 number and get a connector, however, it was so late we may not get one until am. I have a blind grandson and 9 yr old granddaughter with us and we were told we would have to just wait at that station. Unacceptable. The rep on the phone blamed us for not checking our tickets. We don't know the name of stations and trusted the clerk in Tamap who sold us the tickets . The rep said if we wanted to go to Albany it would be an additional $155.10. We had to save for our "vacation" and this to ok a big chunk out of it. She said my son could drive 3 hrs to pick us up other-wise nothing she could do. After I paid she said there would be a connector train if our train could get there in time. Once on the connector train we were stopped once again to pick up other passengers from a train that had hit a tree. We were crammed in. People standing and sitting on luggage in the aisles. This was not safe. I feel as though we were done wrong. Are you wLiking to make this better for us?
Regards,
Patricia
