Dear Mr. Ergen
I am emailing you in regards of the horrible service received by a dear friend of mine. Her 20 year old son who was also a beloved friend of mine,who was a fire fighter lost his life a month ago. In a small town of south west Georgia we are all very close. This death has grieved us all. Mathew Hilliard was so loved and his 50 + plus fire truck funeral procession made the state news and went viral all over social media. He was a great person and will be terribly missed. He leaves behind a little sister, a little brother, and his what was a soon to be wife. His parents own a small restaurant in town called diggity dogs. His father is a full time farmer. You may not know what it's like being a farmer and how hard of a job it is or how financially tough it can be on a family. With that being said his family and this community is still mourning trying to make sense of it all. He was a loyal customer of dish for many years. A month later his family have finally been able to go into his house and begin canceling his accounts with various companies yours included. But your company DISH made it very hard for her to do so. Instead of showing compassion and integrity for her loss she was passed around to different sales associates trying to keep her from canceling. They tried to bargain with her and they had the audacity to down the payment for anyone else who may use it. For a mother to hear your associates bargaining with her and trying pursued her to keep your services is morally wrong. She just lost her baby boy she doesn't care about money or keeping a service in his house which won't be used. When she finally was able to get someone to help her she had to mail you a death certificate to prove he was gone. Really nice, that's just the reminder she needed that she just buried her first born. Then after that was done she sent your equipment back in one piece. (I would have sent it back in millions of pieces). She did everything she was told no matter how hard it was on her. Now she is being harassed for a $17 bill of his. Now you tell me this knowing someone's life was lost are you really that concerned about $17. Someone who has millions and millions of dollars your harassing a sweet and grieving family over $17. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'll leave you with this note I WILL be canceling my dish tomorrow and there is about 100+ other costumes who heard about this incident in Facebook and who are also canceling. You will not receive another dime from me. What happened to loyalty and morals. Just because you make more money or have twice as much materialistic things as we do we are still richer. Us southern folks have all we need we have are morals, our family, and number one GOD. And you sir show non of those qualities if this is how you run your company. I will pray for you that you will prevent this from happening again. Thank you and have a great day
