Michael sent a message to Robert Iger – Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company – Email Address that said:
Mr. Iger,
As I am still in school, I have a lot of road ahead of me and unlimited directions it could take me. I am spending this summer interning for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a remarkable organization that has given me tremendous experience that can only better me in the future.
I made the effort to reach out to you today because my main goal I strive to achieve is to one day become a leader that others look to as not just someone who leads, but as one others know they have a reason for what they are doing. I think as the CEO of Disney you have done just that. I have dedicated some time here and there to read up on you and your ways of leadership to better myself for opportunities in the near future.
Thank you for what you have done and the example you have set forth for all of those around the world.
Currently, I am in the midst of planning my trip to Disney to wrap up this Summer before I head back to school. I look forward to booking our room, acquiring a pair of tickets, and who knows maybe landing a date with Cinderella.
