Terry and Sherry sent a message to John B. Koch, Chief Executive Officer and President, PODS Enterprises, Inc. – email address that said:
Good Morning Mr. Koch.
I would like to explain to you, the problem we are having with your company. In February we contacted your company and received a POD at our home, which
we loaded and then have had storage in your storage facility in Romulus, Michigan. At the time, we used the POD we didn't know where we were moving yet as we had not yet found a home. Then mid-February I went into the hospital for sepsis and then into recovery center due to needing to having intravenous antibiotics administered.
To make a long story short, we found a home, in Roscommon, MI. When we called last week we spoke to a young man who told us our POD would be delivered on Monday. We we got home yesterday from Chicago (for another medical procedure) no POD. So we called yesterday and I spoke with Judith Burnett who said she would try to get this matter resolved. I spoke with her again today. Then I received a phone call from a Joe Goniwiecha who told me our POD would NOT be delivered to us because of the distance. My question is why wasn't something to this effect mentioned to us before now. When we initally rented the POD we mentioned to Michelle Gellasch that there was a possibility of moving to northern Michigan. but that we were not sure. Again, nothing mentioned about distance.
So now, in order to receive ALL of our furniture we are going to have to hire a moving company to go to Romulus, MI. unload the POD, load their truck, drive
to Roscommon, MI and then drive back. Trust me we are getting screwed as they know we want our furniture.
Mr. Koch, for a lack of a better way to put it, this is truly piss poor customer service.
I hope to hear back from you with a resolution to this problem. Otherwise, I am planning on contacting my attorney as well as letting everyone I know plus their friends and families how PODS treated us. Social media can be a truly beautiful thing.
Sherry
