Pamela sent a message to Deanna M. Mulligan – President and Chief Executive Officer of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America – Email Address that said:

I would appreciate a call from you. I have been working with the Guardian Life Insurance call center in Pennsylvania for the last week regarding a policy that my son wishes to surrender. I have spoken with no less than five different people and have been given different information each time. I have complied with their requirements; I have obtained the surrender forms from the local office, I have submitted by Power of Attorney and the W-9, which is all that I was told was needed. Now, a week later, the story changes again. This is HORRIBLE customer service. I have been given misinformation on no less than five occasions. Today, I am being told that your "title department" will not honor my Power of Attorney to handle this matter on my son's behalf without an additional affidavit. This is far and above what is required under North Carolina statute. The Power of Attorney was drawn by my attorney pursuant our state requirements, which do NOT include any additional affidavits. I would like to clear this matter without further ado. Would you please intervene so that I do not have to resort to all other legal remedies available to me? Thank you. I look forward to your forthcoming response.
