Barbara sent a message to Glen F. Post, III President and CEO, CenturyLink, Inc. – email address that said:
Once again I have just spent a great deal of time on the telephone trying to sort out a problem caused by CenturyLink's poor implementation of an order. It has taken 4 calls, to get: 1)incorrect information, 2)a helpful person who correctly identified the problem, but gave incorrect information about how long it would take to correct the problem 3) Disconnected, and finally 4) after much insistence on my part, this particular problem was solved. (It was interesting that the poor service man was told by customer service that they would not talk to me---Great customer service!) This time, it only involved about an hour of my time. Last time, when CenturyLink mistakenly shut off our long distance and internet service when making a different change to our service, it took 5 hours and many calls to resolve our problem. What is particularly galling is that I will once again be charged a fee for the recent change in service! Is it any wonder that when people are given an option, they will choose another provider...if you check our zip code, I believe you will find that a large number of people have cancelled their service recently as new broadband service gives many residents other options. (Alas, I am not one of the lucky recipients of the service).
