Paul sent a message to Arne M. Sorenson – President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr Sorenson
When I travel for business I stay at the Marriott, especially Marriott WestChase in Houston, (the Hilton is across the street). I just had a bad experience reserving a hotel room for Houston WestChase location. They asked for my rewards number which I did not have due to I was driving to an appt. The response from the Marriott customer rep was " you should write it down." I ignored his comment. The rep then asked for my home address info which I provided so he could pull rewards number up that way. which he was unable to again pull up. he said your are not in our system, I said I have to be, I just stayed at that location less a month ago with no problems with them looking up my rewards number when I checked in. Your Marriott rep said we have 40 million rewards members yours don't show up. rewards number. The rep than said something similar like you should've wrote it down.you should. I took the time to write this note because if they treated me this way they have treated others this way as well. You do what you want with this info but I am now staying at the Hilton and reservations done over the phone with no problem. Paul
