Richard sent a message to Charles W. Scharf – Chief Executive Officer and Director of Visa Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Sir:
I have a number of Visa accounts and am the type of cardholder you spend a lot of money trying to attract. I NEVER miss a payment or am late on a payment!
I have tried to reason with your "customer service" department but with no success. This e-mail to you is my final attempt before bringing legal action.
You are busy so I will summarize it for you. The documentation in my file substantiates the following.
My girlfriend (who is on the card) made a deposit to Clinica La Luz in Madrid, Spain for an appointment with the dermatology department.
She cancelled the appointment which is confirmed in a letter from them.
The Clinic refused to refund the deposit and instead applied the deposit to another invoice which has nothing to do with this appointment and is in dispute.
They first lied and said she kept the appointment and the services were provided. They later corrected that.
Your dispute staff has refused to resolve this and recognize that the services for which the deposit was made were not received.
This is a no brainer! Please have a staff attorney review my file and get this resolved so a don't have to make this a legal issue.
Thank you!
