Hello Akio,It is a great pleasure to meet you, a prominent President that make – Akio Toyoda email address

Jonathon sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation – email address that said:

Hello Akio,
It is a great pleasure to meet you, a prominent President that make all our auto dreams a success. I have been a great fan of the Toyota product, in fact I am on my fourth auto purchased at Ehrlich Toyota here in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The reason I am writing is that I have a disturbing concern that I would like to address with you. On the current vehicle I have how, a 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, a mechanical issue that prevents the truck from performing to the standard it is suppose to. The Tacoma 3.5 V6 Atkinson engine raps up in a head wind or if towing, especially if in cruise control., in which I don't use during towing cause of the issue. On many cases the the engine raps up at 4,000 to 5,000 rpm just going down a flat highway and stays there until I slow the truck down. My wife and I had to pull a 3800 pound camper up to the mountains for vacation and the RPMs stuck at 5000, until I had to slow it down, and then the RPM is is still extremely erratic. This cannot bee good on the engine or transmission. The truck is beautiful other than the new engine that your engineers switched to this year. Well, now I have a dilemma, I traded my 2014 Toyota Tundra Limited for this vehicle, trying a lease situation on this deal, causing a real disappointment because when I went back to the dealership to the service department three times, they said that there was nothing they could do about it because it is a new engine and that there would have to be enough complaints for the company to do anything. I have read numerous consumer complaints and concerns on the internet about this situation. Being I leased this truck and it is new, the dealership said in order for me to trade it off, they would have to tack on $6000.00 dollars on top of another vehicle because my truck dropped from $36,000.00 value to a $30,000.00. How is that ethical or helping me, a consumer who likes Toyota as my vehicle now. I am really upset about that, a product that is not up to standard and a dealership taking advantage of me. I wished I would of kept my 2014 Toyota Tundra. How can this be rectified as a Toyota Consumer?
Thanks, Jonathon
