John sent a message to Rodney McMullen – Chief Executive Officer of The Kroger Co. email address that said:
Up until today I was a regular at your Smith's store on CY in Casper Wyoming. This is at least the third time that I have witnessed a manager by the name of Michelle, at this store, berate an employee out on the floor. Only this time I am assuming it was a vendor. It was an African-American gentleman that I've seen him there before stocking freezers. I will not support a company that allows this kind of behavior to go on let alone promote them to management. So From This Moment forward I will be grocery shopping at Albertson's here locally. And I know that Kroger owns the loaf n jugs, so I will not be fueling up there anymore. I will also be spreading this message on social media to let them know exactly how your local Smith's store here operates and the kind of people that they promote. It's no wonder that every time I'm in there there's a bunch of new faces.
