Saurabh sent a message to Muktesh Pant- the CEO of KFC (Kentucky fried chicken)-email address that said:
Hello Mr. Muktesh Pant,
My KFC gift card has an available balance of Rs 172. I visited KFC, GIP Mall, Sec-38, Noida and spoke with Mr Arvind (Manager) on 22-July-2016. He mentioned that the card does not have any balance in it. I am fed up of the nuisance caused by KFC. I must say that KFC has greatly harmed the reputation of the wonderful credit card launched by RBL. RBL should have tied up with McDonalds, Burger King or Dunkin' Donuts (not with KFC). Mr. Arvind told me to contact RBL and find out if there is any balance in the gift card. He told me once I have the confirmation from the bank only then he would be able to deal with it. He wasn't aware that the balance on KFC gift card can be obtained by sending the gift card number (and that sms costs Rs 3). He lacked knowledge. For merely Rs 172 I have to visit the bank and find out why the gift card was not getting accepted. How easy was it for him to say that!! It's a challenge for me to use gift card(s) at KFC. I am very disappointed..
I also visited a different outlet (KFC, Sec-18, Noida). The staff was not even aware that a Gift card can be used multiple times unless the balance in the gift card becomes zero.
I never faced any issues with Pizza Hut. Your bill payment system needs to be rectified. I have to stand in queue for over 10 minutes and make your staff members understand how the codes can be applied. Your staff members are not even aware of how gift card is applied to the bill.
Last time one of your your staff members punched my code and Rs 494 were debited from my gift card, and the very next moment they told me that the card does not have sufficient funds. I had no other option but to pay using my credit card. Later when Mr Arvind understood that they were at a fault, they gave me free meal worth Rs 500. But that was not the solution. He should have refunded the money instead of providing free meal. Even today when I met him, he proudly mentioned that he gave me Rs 500 worth of items. Well, it was his duty, because he debited my gift card and also took payment from my credit card.
Just thought to bring this into your notice.
Thank you,
Saurabh
