Michelle sent a message to Gary C. Kelly- chief executive officer and chairman of Southwest Airlines-Email address that said:
Good Morning, I am attempting to send a email to Gary Kelly, about Southwest Airlines policies when it comes to the law enforcement paperwork form. 1st I want to say that over the years between flying and the SW credit card I have accumulated over a half million miles. So I have noticed the inconsistencies with some southwest agents not knowing the job. southwest like every airline has a 24 hour check in policy. Often due to my job and what we have going on, we try to physically go to the airport ahead of time to check in. Sometimes the day before , but always within the 24 hour check in period. 8 out of 10 times it is not a issue at all. But sometimes like yesterday they refuse to give me the paperwork. What I explained to the supervisor is that who I am 12 hours from now will not change . You have physically verified my credentials. When we come back in 12 hours we still have to do the Tsa and airport police verification, which is the true test of ,'we are who we say we are. The SW paperwork is really to let your agents and pilots know we are armed. Because I have had this issue in several states across the USA can we please try to develope some consitancy with this matter. It makes our life more difficult when we try to be proactive and we are treated poorly. I wasted a hour of my day trying to be proactive just to be treated badly by the supervisor
