Simon sent a message to Steven Mollenkopf – Chief Executive Officer of Qualcomm Incorporated – Email Address that said:
We are the nominated design house for a company called Emotiv and have developed the product range for the last 4 years.
A new project has arisen which is expected to be taken on by an international vendor of entertainment and product franchising, and has been chosen to implement the product due to the superior architecture. The expectation of the product rollout next year is that it will be globally pervasive in nature due to the significant marketing and franchising capability of the final vendor.
We have signed an NDA with Qualcomm, and purchased a development kit, for which some $US825 was paid, however it is useless as we do not have access to any compiler, software development tools or detailed technical information. An ADK is apparently available for some $3000USD however we are unable to determine whether the contents of the kit will provide sufficient information to do what is necessary for this product. While has been identified as a candidate solution for the product, it is still unclear to us whether it can be made to do what is actually needed.
A specific requirement is to access the high precision ADC ports and encode EEG data over Bluetooth in order to realise the product. To do so we must assess the low frequency bandwidth of the ADC to determine the very low frequency response, down to 0.5Hz. We seek enough technical information and tools to be able to achieve this goal, and assist our customer in delivering a truly novel product which will allow masses of people to make command and control by thought possible.
Your prompt assistance is very much appreciated, as our customer is in the process of finalising commercial agreements in USA
