Yonghua and Qianjin sent a message to Michael L. Corbat CEO, Citigroup Inc. – email address that said:
Dear Mr. Corbat,
In the midst of the frustration, we saw the article on the Internet regarding the article entitled "Citi CEO Determined To Fix Customers’ Complaints About Costco Card Deployment" and decided to send you a message regarding our Costco Cash Rebate card not being transferred to the Citi Card as of this point. Not only this caused confusion, inconvenience, but also consumed us hours of time trying to be on the phone with Amex, Citi and Costco. Up at this point, we still don't have the Citi Card to be used at Costco. Though we could use other cards, we would be inconvenienced forever by the confusion and missed benefits. As I talked to Amex today, a representative told me that the reason that we were not automatically migrated to the Citi card was because we were considered as a "premium" customer with them for over 15 years and they wanted to withhold us to their card, I think that might be a true reason, though later on he changed his story as us being missed out during the migration process with no reason. This is outrageous. We thought the arrangement made between Amex, Citi and Costco was supposed to be seamless and no one should hijack the process for any other purposes. Obviously, we were the victims. After talking to all parties - Costco, Amex and Citi, no one was able or willing to offer a solution. With being missed out during the migration process, you Citi Card services could not do anything about it? It is hard to believe no solution is in place to resolve this?! Our valuable time and the anxiety caused by this seems to go no where. So as we were told, the only solution is for us to reapply for a citi card that does not offer the equivalent benefits as the card we were promised to get. Unfortunately, we do not want to apply for another card, whatever card that is, and we do not want our credit to be negatively affected by this process. We don't count on any further assistance from any parties as we feel it was foolish of us having the expectations through this process, but we just want you to know that there are unresolved cases and it is up to you if you want to fix them.
Thanks for listening.
