Glen sent a message to Glen F. Post, III President and CEO, CenturyLink, Inc. – email address that said:
I faxed a letter to your disability services and copied the Dept of veteran affairs -office of inspector general.
I am a disable vet with disable wife. We have no income and 401K is gone. We are both in the long process of getting approved for disability. In the interim we will not be able to pay our Century link bill =but need basic phone and internet service. A lot of medical information is communicated through web portals and email notifications etc.
I am not asking to "not pay" = I am asking for forbearance. Allow us to have service during this period of no income. Once we have income - then we pay an extra $20 a month until we have paid you back. We will be on a much lower income and will need to pay it back slowly.
This has been a one-off arrangement, but our local utility CEO agreed to it and our propane gas supplier agreed. I tried your customer service center - but they only follow the script they have and cannot address this type of request. Please acknowledge receipt and if your company will consider it. Kind Regards- Glen
