Mr. Ghosn I am sending this email in regards to a problem my husband and I – Carlos Ghosn email address

Tony sent a message to Carlos Ghosn President and CEO, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. – email address that said:

Mr. Ghosn
I am sending this email in regards to a problem my husband and I have been having with our 2016 Nissan Altima. First I want to say I was a loyal customer of Toyota and had my Camry for 12 years. It was time for a new car and really didn't want to look anywhere but Toyota for another one. They had served me well the entire time I owned my car. My son and daughter- in-law however, they each have a Nissan Altima said you have to look at them. We love our cars never had any problems with them and in fact for my son this is his 2nd Altima. My husband and I said okay so we took a look and feel in love with the car. The price was right and after test driving the car we said okay let’s do it. However while sitting in the car making a call at lunch I notice this sound like a siren in the distance. We had only had the car 3 months at this point. I thought that's strange. I had my husband listen and he heard it to. We took a ride over to Nissan of Turnersville which is where we purchased the car one Saturday and the service guy came out asked what can he do for us. My husband proceeds to tell him and the service guy said, oh yeah that's the electronic power steering pump they all make that noise. There's nothing we can do about that. To say the least we were livid that a company would make a car that makes this kind of sound. We left thinking oh they will fix this but after researching on Google, I found I wasn't the only one with this problem. My husband even went as far as to contact one of the people that had posted an article about how his dealership fixed the problem They guy was nice enough to send us all the info so we made an appointment to bring the car back over to be fixed. My husband gave the service department all the info along with pictures that he had rec'd. The noise did subside for about a week or 2 but then came back. Needless to say we weren’t happy. We have taken it back since once more time with no resolution to the problem. I have to say we are hard working middle class people and paying a car payment for a vehicle that drives us both crazy when we hear this whining noise to totally ridiculous. We are tired of hearing that is how they are made or you can turn the radio up. Are you kidding me? Turn the radio up is your answer. If I could afford to I would turn the car in now and never buy another Nissan again. Which by the way my husband has a Toyota Highlander which in about a year will be trading it in. Just know we wont be buying a Nissan nor will I recommend Nissan to a single person. It just amazes us this gentlemen who sent us all the info found a dealership to fix his problem but for us its just sorry it's supposed to sound like this.
Thank you,
2 very angry customers
Tony and Donna
