Jeanne sent a message to David V. Auld – President and Chief Executive Officer of D.R. Horton Inc. – Email Address that said:
We are in the process of purchasing one of your homes for about 278k dollars. I am greatly upset that the tile floors are filthy with dirt and dust, and the concrete where the carpet is being laid was not cleaned before they started laying the carpet.
I have had the carpet installers stop because 1. they are having to track over the filth that is on the tile to get to the rooms to carpet. 2. I don't want dust and dirt under the carpet and pad. I want my carpet laid on a clean surface.
How sad I am to know that this is the way all your homes are being build here
Weeks ago I also notified my sales agent that the interior paint job was darker around the top edge of the walls and blotchy on the rest. I wanted this repainted before the carpet was laid.
Also, in the kitchen, the support for the island is not patrolled to the cabinet that butts up to it. This is so obvious. Why the shoddy workmanship? And more than that, why has some supervisor not had it corrected? It has been this way for weeks.
Can you please help me with this. Closing date is supposed to be the 15th of Aug. I would rather the job be done correctly and close late than to have this mess and close on time.
Thank you.
Jeannie
