Danielle sent a message to Laura J. Alber Director, President, and CEO, Williams-Sonoma – email address that said:
Dear Ms. Alber,
I have tried to remove my husband's name and my name from your companys catalog mailing list for nine months.
When I purchase an item from one of your stores or online the catalogs start again. Other companies have figured out how to not send mail when some one shops.
The inability of Pottery Barn to stop sending mail has caused us to shop at other stores for our home furniture. We only want to buy at at stores that respect our mail preferences.
Customer service said that they have no control over this problem. I suggest that Pottery Barn exam whether its databases can be adjusted to allow for no mailings if someone shops.
