Adam O'Neil sent a message to Rodney McMullen – Chief Executive Officer of The Kroger Co. email address that said:
Ambiguity breeds resentment
I have been working for Kroger for one year. So far both of the meat departments I have worked in have managers who are at an English 6th grade or below reading level!
I can see how this ambiguity may be beneficial to the non-union managers and corporate key holders. Because they can rely on the baser fears and needs such as job security and corporate loyalty to people that worked there for over 20 years. To subdue any critical reasoning.
However what about me? If my manager cannot even get on Excel and draw me out a chronological and vocational job description, then why should I feel as if I am a subpar employee?
What if my manager tries to shirk his duties upon the uneducated residents and inmates of Van Nuys who are coerced into Ralphs to start a new life of legitimate worth? Must I a U.S. Marine and Student of Psychology simply be demoralized and allow filth and ignorance to thrive in poor neighborhood/EBT stores?
Like I said I am a Marine-Psychologist who merely wishes to do good work and survive on my own merit, but can this be done when there is zero communication in the non-English stores? I have always been on time and never been late or missed a day.
I just want to remain employed by Kroger despite the hardships of working with people who cannot delegate duties or jobs without using fear tactics and prison mentality.
There was a time when the middle class would enjoy their work and come to work with a positive mental attitude, I always will! but I just wanted to express my appreciation for Kroger and Ralphs, if it is on me then that’s okay to, but Col. Johnson once said: “don’t just bring a problem, bring a solution in the other hand” and that solution to me at least is to get a fair hearing from they who can understand and reason.
Ambiguity of duties and Union fees/770? a racket! lol
