Santo sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation – email address that said:
I have a 2006 Avalon which is very nice to drive. I recommended that my brother-in-law buys a Toyota too which he did. I have driven many cars during my 80 years in Europe and that United States. I was very surprised to learn of the huge repairs that had to be made during my 90K checkup. Air Filter $40.00, Cabin Air Filter $60.00, A/C Power Foam Service $189.95, Brake Fluid Exchange $139.95, Rear Break Pads Rotors $540.00, Spark Plugs Valve Cover Gaskets $865.00. Most of this I understand why change Brake Rotors and Valve Cover Gaskets? I never had to do it with VW, Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Chevrolet, Ford, Mitsubishi. Please clarify, is this usual with Toyota?
