Sam sent a message to Thomas J. Folliard – President and Chief Executive Officer of CarMax, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Chief Executive Officer of Carmax,
My name is Sheng former President Club Sales Consultant in Carmax Duarte store.
I'm very passion about this job because I love and enjoy what I do best, I show up to work every day early and leave late, I work on my day off most of the time to be the best at the store, my sales been top of the store for couple months and reward as store champion in March 2016, and contribute as qualify mentor because I want to teach more people about this job, also been referring friends that have the potential to come work for the team.
I always enjoy working in Carmax and never have complain and problems with the manager or co-worker, which everyone know I work really hard as myself and for the team, always give out 110% to reach the goal. We did it back in 2015 and had a steak lunch as reward and I finally have a chance to see you in person and take a picture.
I recently got discharge from the company due to fail to safeguard customer information, I text another Sales Consultant customer personal information to pass the sale, I didn't think much until later the LP talk to me then I notice, I know not to leave customer information out to protect privacy, but I didn't know passing to another train sales consultant is violate the policy, which this was never mention in the training.
When the LP JJ talk to me, I was being honest and tell him everything and even search to show him the text message that I text to the other sales consultant, but what I didn't expect is being complete honest will get me into this result.
I just want to inform you that I feel this decision is very unfair, I follow the rules everyday and do the best at my job, but a honest mistake which was never mention in training got me discharge from the company, I just hope that in the future there will be more training on between sales consultant to another sales consultant, because as what I know, most of my co-worker don't know, don't want the same result happen to another good employee.
Sincerely,
Sam
