My bank issued new debit cards that have chips....I was going on line to order some wallpaper. I remembered I hadnt changed my cards on pay pal yet I went on pay pal which I have had since 2005..eleven years. It let me put in my card..and remove my old one. but it would not except my husbands new card. I called paypal to see what the problem was. to the best of my understanding they said I can't have an account in two names. I had bank of america a few years back and they were always issueing new cards as some kind of fraud alert.
I changed our cards on paypal no problem. pay pal said i would have to change the name on my account. They tryed to walk me through...I had to say i was changing my name ...marraige divorce or legal reason ..WHICH IS NOT TRUE! then they wanted me to upload my drivers licence. Which makes no sense as it has the same name! so i said if i knew this was going to be this much of an issue i wouldnt have even tried to change my husbands card. They said you dont have to. So I left mine with the new card. My card is good! I tried to order wallpaper from online that will only take pay pal and it didnt go through. This is rediculous! This account has been in both of our names for 11 years! I would like to put the account in my name..and add two cards mine and my husband...If the policy is one name.
I dont understand why the order didnt go through even if my husbands card is no good( because they wouldnt let me add my husbands new card)... My card is is still good why didnt they use my card to fill the order?
I cant seem to get any thing accomplished useing the support for pay pal. If you would give this matter your attention and help me... I would be truely appreciative!
