John sent a message to James J. Murren – Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International – Email Address that said:
Hello, we have a reservation at the Monte Carlo arriving October 8th and departing October 12th. I've been to the Monte Carlo 3 times and recommended to our friends to celebrate a 50th birthday celebration. We received an e-mail stating the pool will be closed at the Monte Carlo starting October 3rd.
I can tell you that I'm very disappointed and embarrassed because I raved about the lazy river and great party at the Monte Carlo Resort.
I called to see if we could change resorts but was told that it's not possible. We would have to cancel and re-book at another resort.
They did say that the Monte Carlo was offering a shuttle service to the MGM across the street. I can tell you that we would not want to wait for a shuttle so that we can pack a bag with our bathing suits.
I'm really hoping that something can be done to help accommodate our group.
I understand that some may not care about the pool but our group had the pool as one of the highlights.
