Clare sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr O'Leary,
I hope you can help me obtain the refund of 500 euros which your company owes me for a flight delay.
My 11-year-old daughter and I endured a nine-and-a-half hour hold-up at Gatwick on August 2 for your service to Cork.
Your customer services emailed me on August 12 to say a payment had been authorised and should be made to my credit card withing two weeks.
Unfortunately, a month on, this has not happened despite being in accordance with EU regulation 261/2004.
Emails to refund@ryanair just bounce back as apparently they cannot be currently processed.
I look forward to this matter being resolved without further delay.
Yours sincerely,
Clare
