Natalie sent a message to Hubert Joly President and CEO, Best Buy – email address that said:
My daughter is a college student and yesterday her computer was not working. Since it was fairly old we decided to buy her a new one.I ordered it on-line from Best Buy for my daughter to pick up today. She picked up the computer and proceeded to go to geek squad to transfer her files. She asked the person at the geek squad desk when the computer would be ready. She was told that they were not busy so her computer would be ready for pick up the same day in a few hours. As she needed the computer for class and homework, She confirmed that it would be ready today several times and the geek squad employee said yes. Well with no word at 3:00, she contacted the store and was told that they had a large backlog and they needed at least 24 hours. Well not what the other employee told her! Not only did one of the employees lie to her but they didn't even have the coutesty to let her know that it would be ready today. The employee kept insisting they could not get it done UNTIL she told them she was going to pick up her computer and transfer the files herself. I guess the thought of losing the fee motivated him because now he was able to transfer the files in an hour! We picked up the computer not even an apology! Through the years I have purchased all my computers, tvs, and used geek squad but not anymore! I do not need to deal with dishonest and rude employees.
