Mrs Randall sent a message to Jeffrey J. Clarke CEO, Eastman Kodak Company – email address that said:
Dear Sir
I apologise for intruding on your time. In 2003 my son Giles Randall was an apprentice at Kodak in Wealdstone, England. Sadly he died aged 23 years and Kodak honoured his memory by building a memorial garden within the Kodak grounds, I was very proud that he was thought so much of by his colleagues and and also Kodak. Sadly your site in Wealdstone is now being redeveloped for housing and my sons memorial garden will be demolished. This saddens me so much, but I was wondering if there was any possibility that a street or road name even a building could be named after Giles in his memory. I hope you do not mind me writing to you and hope that you will be able to help in my quest. Kind regards . Linda
