Dear Mr Van Saun
We have been doing business with Citizens Bank for close to 20 years.
We are now in the process of refinancing our mortgage and credit line with Citizens Bank using a VA loan. We were informed that we have to pay out of pocket $601.00 to have the appraisal. My question is: Why do we have to pay for an appraisal when both our mortgages are with Citizens Bank and all we want to do is refinance to lower our interest rate?
You would think that being a loyal customer for so many years and never being delinquent paying our mortgage or credit line and never overdrawing our checking account that you would eliminate the charge of an appraisal.
