Miss Edwards sent a message to Stuart Gulliver Group CEO, HSBC Holdings PLC – email address that said:
Dear Sir,
My Uncle passed away last May 2015. He had a sole account with HSBC and I and one other were in his will as the two executors and two only beneficheries. I went into the Hemsworth Branch and took in all the information required, along with the last will and testament. Until the 8th August, 2016 and numerous phone calls to the bereavement team on , I am still no further forward. The other executor was sent a letter on 8th August, 2016 instructing her what she needed to do and also sign the closure form, none of which she has done to date. I have been told today that the only way I can have my half of the money released (which is under £1000) is to apply for Probate? Why am I being forced to pay and do this when one, it is for such a small amount and two I have complied and supplied everything I have needed to? If the other party never complies, then how long am I expected to wait? It has been over a year now and this should all be done and sorted.
Yours faithfully,
Miss Edwards
