My name is David . My dilemma is the fact that, my boat has been in the repair shop for over 8 weeks, Total. Bill and Kate are exceptional sales and receptionist. They take real pride, in what they do.
That is why I drove down from Houston to El Campo Boating Center
Now, I will not go through the whole gambit as to why the boat is still in the shop. You can please contact me or, you can contact Bill, at El Campo Boating Center. HE is working with some Yamaha rep. to no avail. Should you wish to take this case, please investigate, and notify, me ASAP.

THINK YOU’VE GOT A LEMON BOAT?
All new water craft, including motorboats, sail boats, pontoon boats and jet skis come with a warranty from the manufacturer and sometimes with warranties from other companies who made some of the equipment or parts installed on the boat. Most often, the engine has a separate warranty. If you have a written warranty and bought your new water craft for consumer use, the federal lemon law covers your boat. Under the federal lemon law, you must give the manufacturer or the dealer a reasonable chance to get it fixed.
If you can answer yes (I most deffinatly can) to the following questions, then you have a lemon boat.
1. Was the defect or problem covered by the manufacturer’s or dealer’s warranty? Is covered under YES.
2. Did you give them a reasonable chance to fix all of the boat’s defects?
3. Did they fail to get everything fixed within a reasonable number of chances or within a reasonable amount of time?
If you can answer yes to all of these questions, then you may have the right to make the manufacturer replace your water craft or take the water craft back and give you back your money or pay you compensation AND pay your attorney fees.
Some states say that if your faith in the reliability of your water craft has been shaken, even though repairs are done, then you may have a lemon boat. That means you could get paid damages or maybe even make the manufacturer take it back and refund your money.
HOW MANY CHANCES ARE REASONABLE?
How many chances are reasonable depends on the defects. Some problems should be fixed on the first attempt while others may take more attempts to find the source of the problem. Sometimes common sense helps you answer that question. Other times, you may want to talk to a boat lemon law attorney or an independent expert surveyor about the defects, and ask them for their opinion.
