jim sent a message to James McCann – CEO, 1-800-FLOWERS – Email Address that said:
To whom it concerns,
I placed an order for flowers to be delivered for my daughter's birthday to be delivered on October 18 ,at 6:30 PM on the 18th I realized the flowers were not delivered yet, I called customer service twice and was told twice that I would receive a call when they got a hold of the delivery department or whatever,
To put it short this is not the first time that your company has botched an order and ruined my event, I know from experience this company's customer service is third rate and the management really does not care about me or the fact that my daughters birthday was ruined, but given this is not the first time this is happened with me with this company I am beside myself and pretty irate ,I really want something to be done I dont want half-price flowers I don't even want free flowers I want an apology if that would be possible because you are a big company and it's apparent to me that my needs are nothing of concern of yours just taking my money and giving me an apology and sending me on my way its all this company is about,
Twice I told customer service reps that I realize the flowers probably would not be delivered tonight even though that's when they were scheduled to be delivered by 7 PM both representative gave me the good oh well you never know routine when I knew darn well that they will not be delivered and I will once again be disappointed by one 800 flowers,
I feel that I probably should just contact my credit card company and not pay for the flowers as the contract that we had for the flowers to be delivered by certain date we're not met I think this is fair seeing how that your company will not do one thing for me other than offer me a $25 voucher probably for the next order that I will not be making , and sending me the typo corporate apology letter that I really do not want to receive as this will just be so insulting to me ,I appreciate your time in reading this email and I also invited you to send it onto your CEO perhaps he needs to know just what your customers are really thinking!
Jim
