As a former IBMer and IBM watcher, I thought I would share an idea of a potentially good use for Watson. Watson could be put into service doing real time fact checking of politicians statements made in debates and speaches. It could also be used in social media such as Twitter to, for example, change the color of the text of, or otherwise callout a tweet depending on whether what is being said is factual or a bold lie. THis would greatly help out those receiving information to know if they are being misled. Hope this helps find a new and valuable use of Watson!
