My name is Michele, I was hired as a "Bartender" at Rogers Arena ( Edmonton, Alberta). I have since quit!
Im writing you this email to tell you that I'm not impressed with the way things have been handled on the training end of this whole process, plus some of the things that have been asked of us to follow! Eg: no False nail / eyelashes , no re-entry, certain foot wear, the list goes on. (This is a Part-time job).
I attended the Keith Urban concert on Sept 16/16, I witnessed one of the managers outside having a smoke went back in! ( Rules are for fans ALL STAFF, Including management ).
also what I find not fair is that the " Premium sections" have a "Tip option" on their credit/debit machines , but the rest of the building nothing! Really Mr. Foss? I find that discrimitive to the rest of the bartenders that have been hired, I don't bartend for below or minimum wage, I work my butt off every night I find it to be a slap in the face! If this does not change I can see Aramark (Rogers Arena) losing a great bunch of bartenders'. 5 people I know have quit in the 1st two events! Please help fix the situation!
