Carlos sent a message to Dieter Zetsche CEO, Daimler AG – email address that said:
Dear Sirs:
I am writting to you in order to solve a problem that I still have with my Mercedes C-180/ 2012, since almost 7 months.
I had to take my car to the dealer in El Salvador for 5 times for the same problem, until they found out what was the problem.
I was informed that the automatic transmission needs to be repair.
Cost, about US$ 4,000 .00 US dollars. "Car has only 40,000 KM Less than 25 000 Miles."
I ask them, how can this be posssible.!!!!!!!!! ????
They said, they don´t even know . So, they decided to ask for a special consideration to the fabric in order to repair the car, but with no favorable response. So, I was told that I had to pay for this special "sensor in the transmission"
Nevertheless, I talked to a friend in Germany who is a car engineer, and told me to take back the car to the dealer, It was almost imposible to have this problem.
The Dealer knows that this is not a common problem but they insist I have to pay for this repair . As a matter of fact, this special unit
has to be import, because they don´t have it in stock ( It´s not normal to have this problems with this car).
So I ask you as follows:
-Please confirm if this case is part of normal or regular maintenance with just 24,000 Miles .
-Is it possible that I pay for a visit of an engeneer to come and check this particular case ?
- Should I consider to change this tablet or sensor each 20 ,000 miles in the transmission ?
- Please inform what to expect in order to have my car back as soon as possible, after more than six months ?
Best Regards,
Carlos
p.d. I really feel very disappointed with this car !!!!!!!! It´s a Mercedes
