Lana sent a message to W. Craig Jelinek – President and Chief Executive Officer of Costco Wholesale Corporation email address that said:
We just received our Citibank Visa bill and realized that we did not get 3% rebate for our upcoming trip to Cuba. We called Citibank and were told that Road Scholar Educational Travel and Learning Trips for Adults, was listed as a school. We asked if they can look into this travel agency and make the necessary corrections. Their answer was no.
For all the years we used the American Express Costco card, we always had service. Service is a word that is not in Citibank's vocabulary. We have personally had a very difficult start with Citibank, and this is going to be the absolute end of using their card. We never received the card, promised were made of cards being sent, but never received.
Customer service is actually what everyone loves about Costco, and now you have aligned yourselves with a company that is nothing short of unresponsive.
We are hoping that customer service with Costco, will not become dis-service
